What is the first step I need to take for help?

How does bail work?
When a judge assigns a bail amount, we can come forth with a bail bond, releasing you or your loved one from jail, and guaranteeing to the judge that you will appear in court on your appointed date.
Are there different types of bonds?
Yes, there are cash bonds, surety bonds, and 10% bonds. Chapman’s Bail Bonds will provide you with a surety bond, granting you freedom before your trial.
Are all bail amounts the same?
No, the amount of your bail is specific to the crime committed and presiding judge. When determining the amount of a person’s bail, a judge considers all circumstances involving the specific crime or situation.
Can bail be posted for all crimes?
No. Most crimes will fall under the request of granting bail, but not all. Capital crimes like murder will very rarely be granted bail.
What happens if I do not appear in court after bail?
Due to an agreement, bail was posted on your behalf from us, as a guarantee that you will show up in court on your specified date. In order to avoid the harsh consequences if you are a no show, we provide our clients with apps and notifications so they know exactly when they have court hearings.
Is there a limit to bail bonds you can receive?
Each case and judge are different for every crime that is committed. Judges will review your specific case along with your criminal history. They are the final deciding factor of whether bail can be posted and if so, what the amount will be. There is never guarantee of bail, as it is up to the judge handling the case.
